In my practice, I treat older adolescents, college students, and adults. I have extensive experience in working with those who face a variety of issues including anxiety, depressed mood, OCD, grief, family and life transitions, trauma, adoption, attachment-related concerns, and chronic illness. Additionally, I work with clients seeking to deepen self-awareness, heal emotional wounds, and explore areas in their lives that they would like to strengthen.
My approach is shaped by each client's individual needs and specific goals for therapy. My therapeutic lens is largely informed by my background in psychodynamic, insight-oriented psychotherapy. I also draw from cognitive behavioral, lifestyle interventions, trauma-focused, and other modalities, as indicated for each person with whom I work.
In therapy, I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is central to promoting healing, growth, and a path toward optimal wellness. For many, therapy can offer a space for deepening self-awareness and developing skills to enhance emotional well-being, fulfillment, and functioning. My work as a therapist is collaborative with the client and strives to promote cognitive and emotional flexibility, as well as strengthen underlying vulnerabilities.
